We have Ellen Page, the Karaoke DJ Extraordinaire at Wing Wa Restaurant in Depoe Bay, who will sing the National Anthem at the start of the Parade. She's terrific!!

SITKA

~2PM - 4PM

SITKA cooks up a recipe for musical fun. You take a bunch of catchy, original funky jams, mix in a few older tunes done in an upbeat, light-hearted style, blend it with a touch of blues, smooth it out with some jazz flavoring, spice it up with tasty guitar licks and toss in some wicked keys, then turn up the heat - that’s SITKA. It’s served listenable and danceable, and the band calls it Jazzy, Trippy, Folkadelic Rock, but you’ll just say “That’s Fun!”.

What time does the parade start?

The fun starts at 11:00 AM with the parade starting at 1:00 PM.

Where do parade participants check in?

Parade participants check in at the Gleneden Beach Fire Station. Check-in times will be sent via email to registered participants.

What roads are closed during the parade?

The parade route is closed to traffic from 11:00 AM until the parade ends - around 2:00 PM, and until 4:00 PM on Gleneden Beach Loop between White and Fern Streets. No parking is allowed on the parade route. A detailed map is available from the About Tab or the Our Event Section.

Live entertainment starts immediately after the parade ends:

Where is the entertainment stage?

The main stage is located across from the Salishack Tavern in the Blake's Nursery parking lot.

Where can I park?

Free parking is available at:

• Shuttle - Gleneden Beach State Recreation Site
• Shuttle - Siletz Bay State Airport

Is there shuttle service?

Yes! A free shuttle bus runs from both parking locations to the Gleneden Beach Fire Station from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Where can't I park?

No parking is allowed on the parade route. Please use the designated parking areas and shuttle service, or on the side streets off the road.

Where are the vendor areas?

Vendors are located at two main areas:

• Blakes's Nursery
• Across the street from the Side Door Cafe

When do vendors set up?

Vendor setup time is between 9:00 AM & 10:00 AM.

Our Event

For the early birds, it all starts with the world-famous Pancake Breakfast at the Gleneden Beach Community Club (110 Azalea St) . Come enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage or ham, served with orange juice, coffee or tea, from 8AM to 10:30AM. $10 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12, kiddies under 6 are free with a paid adult!
The festival begins around 11AM, featuring a variety of vendors offering handmade crafts, face painting, local delicacies. a star-spangled beer garden, and, of course, our popular Dunk-Tank!
The highlight of the event, the Parade, will start at 1PM. Watch as the US Coast Guard Color Guard and rescue helicopter lead vintage vehicles, clowns and community groups as they march down the streets of Gleneden Beach, celebrating the spirit of freedom and patriotism. The procession winds through the heart of Gleneden Beach, creating a festive atmosphere filled with music, laughter, and the waving of flags.
Our Emcees, Heather Hatton, PR Director for Chinook Winds Casino and Roger Robertson, "The Voice of Lincoln City", of KBCH Radio fame & The Double-R Show podcast, will be announcing details of the parade from our main stage. Ellen Page, the Karaoke DJ at Wing Wa Restaurant in Depoe Bay, will sing the National Anthem at the start of the Parade. We will also be presenting Neighbors for Kids a $1000 check on the main stage at the end of the parade.
Live music, featuring local greats - SITKA, starts immediately after the parade ends, around 2PM, and continues to 4PM, when the event ends.
The Gleneden Beach Fourth of July Parade began in 1995 when long-time residents Alyce Thomson and Nellie Jaujou, from the Gleneden Beach Community Club, decided Independence Day needed a bit more fanfare in this normally quiet burg just south of Lincoln City. It has now grown into "The Biggest Little 4th of July Parade on the Oregon Coast!" ~ Newport News-Times.
This event not only honors our nation's 250 years of independence, it also strengthens community bonds, making it a highlight of the summer season!
